Creamy-textured, full bodied and showing a bit of warmth, this is lush and lavishly oaked. Chocolate, vanilla and plum flavours play major roles, with earthier notes, hints of spice and tobacco in support. November 1, 2007
The 2003 Shiraz Moorooroo Limited Release is sourced form a vineyard planted in 1847, the wine offers up a complex array of cedar, spice box, scorched earth, tar, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. This is a full bodied yet elegant Shiraz with an opulent palate-feel, gobs of spicy blue and black fruits, superb depth and concentration, and a 60 second finish. Splendidly balanced with well-concealed tannins, this seamless wine merits10 - 12 years of cellaring after which it can be enjoyed through 2030. November 2007
Old sheds and ripe summer fruits in buckets, leather, oil and plums - all that hot-afternoon, farmyard toil in a bottle with deep and dense, fully concentrated fruit with big oak.

An impressive dense ruby/purple colour is followed by a sweet nose of black fruits, earth and coffee. This full bodied, rich, pure, dense 2002 Shiraz Limited Release should drink well for 7 - 8 years. November 2007
INDULGE – A decadently rich, fleshy, chocolatey red with vanilla and berry flavours and a soft, seemingly low-acid palate. Very dense, fleshy, super-ripe and soft-tannined. A luxurious Barossa Valley Shiraz from 150 year-old vines.
This is a lavishly oaked wine, filled with scents of caramel, nuts, chocolate, toasted coconut, vanilla and coffee. It completely fills the mouth with creamy, lush flavour - a combination of vanilla and fruit syrup, with complexity added by touches of cracked pepper and meat. So easy to drink now…
Ultra-concentrated, rich and ripe, but not jammy, blackberry, prune, licorice and plum fruit supported by mocha/vanilla oak. Just a touch of alcohol-derived sweetness has to be accepted.
2004 Barossa Wine Show
Ripe, rich and distinctive, with plum, pomegranate, exotic spice and licorice mingling on a supple frame, finishing with polish and power. A bit Porty, but it strives for a balance that will keep it going. Best from 2008 through 2020.
Planted by William and John Jacob on their little creek in the 1840's, the vines that sweated out this tincture just missed the 1980's vine pull. Schild kept a few rows. They yield buggar all grapes. Their juice is a vinous black hole - no light escapes. Blacksmithed, sweaty and salty, it's the dark essence of the deep past, and the absolute antithesis of today's Jacob's Creek River. 22 Feb 2006
