Five Red Stars; and a whole lot of points.

Our Five stars turned red this year, a status achieved by less than 10% of all wineries, or as James Halliday puts it five red stars indicates an “outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity”. Cheers Jimmy H.

As well as all the red stars and points, three Schild Estate wines (2017 Moorooroo Shiraz, 2017 Narrow Road Shiraz Cabernet and 2018 Barossa Valley Shiraz) were also highlighted as ‘Special Value’ - “Wines considered to offer special value for money within the context of their status”.

Once again the Moorooroo Shiraz made the ‘Best of the Best’ list for Shiraz sharing the spotlight with other wines of high esteem including Penfolds’ 2015 Bin 95 Grange, Henschke’s 2015 Hill of Grace and Brokenwood’s 2018 Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz. Excellent company to keep.
